I am 54 years old with Mediterranean-type skin, which I have mostly neglected, unfortunately. What a difference I see after using the items in this kit for the first time! I used the micro-dermabrasion, the eye and lip cream, and the "when hope is not enough" serum. My skin absolutely glows, after one use. I never write reviews, but I cannot wait to see what my skin will look like in a month.

Wonderful Product, 2008-02-22
I am 24 years old with dry, sensitive skin. This combination of products did wonders for my skin. I am a first time buyer of Philosophy products, and I am very happy with the results. I decided to buy this kit because the moisturizers that I was using were not working well. They would make me break out and still leave my already dry skin dry...causing small bumps to appear around my cheeks. Apparently your skin creates those bumps when it isn't getting enough moisture. Well, after hearing some good reviews of Philosophy, I thought I would try it out. After a week, those bumps disappeared, my skin is softer than ever, and the dryness is completely gone.
The smell isn't wonderful, and I noticed from some reviews of the individual products said that the smell was so bad that they quit using it. I honestly don't think it's so bad. If a products gives you great results, the smell is nothing to sob over. This is worth a try especially if you are a first time Philosophy buyer like me. It's a small set just to try the products out with a reasonable price tag. It comes with small samples also...so, it's all good.
Overall, it was a great buy. I've become a fan of Philosophy.

I gave this product a chance based on the reviews and am almost finished with all of it. I am not that impressed with this product-- I have had better outcomes with Avon surprisingly. I am a youthful-looking 51, Latina with warm light brown skin. I don't have deep wrinkles but my skin has become dry and drab in the last year or so and so I've been trying to find products that would help keep my skin hydrated and fresh-looking. What this HAS done: smoothed out my skin, giving it a clean smooth finish. BUT, my skin looks tired and dehydrated within a few hours and so have resorted to oil based foundations to add some moisture (and to keep the tiny wrinkles at bay). The lip/eye plumper does NOT work. Burt's Bees does a better job for a fraction of the price (for lips). I think for lighter colored skin, this product works well, but I am not impressed with what it's done for mine. So I will keep looking.

I have tried every facial product on the market and I have finally found one that truly does what it says. The results are truly amazing and makeup is literally optional. This is the first time in 15years that I felt comfortable in public without foundation.

Finally a product that takes care of my problem skin.
I am 34 and I have large pores and oily, congested skin. I tried the Make-up Optional kit after trying multiple over the counter and "premium" skin care kits. After using this product for a few days, I noticed a visible difference in my skins apperance. The blemishes went away, my skin glowed and my face was not shiny after a few hours. It is so gentle too. It leaves my skin velvetty soft. I would totally recommend this product to anyone.
I have used Mary Kay, Avon and Clinique skin care kits. All these either left my skin too dry, irritated, or it got oily after only a few hours.
The other Philosphy products are also very good.
